"Memories of Lake Elmo" is a collection of stories gathered word-for-word with recordings and transcriptions of more than 120 long-time residents of the small town of Lake Elmo. During the project, VanDemmeltraadt conducted more than 100 interviews by phone, in-person or via email. Some persons interviewed had family who lived in Lake Elmo for five or six generations.
